I purchased these undersized grips for my wife's clubs. She has played with them 3 or 4 times now and really likes the feel of them. Installation was awesome with the air gun. Quick and easy plus ready to play as soon as you are done.
The Midsize Classic Wrap is a very nice grip...tacky with a great look. I installed the grips over existing shaft tape, just spraying the grip opening with a little solvent and shaking off any excess. Using the Star Grip air installation tool that came free with the grip set, I had the new grips on, repositioning a couple along the way, in about a hour. Most of that time was spent carefully removing the old grips, not installing the new grips.
I've played three rounds with the new grips installed. I find that I grip the clubs much easier and feel mis-hits much less at my hands and wrists. I'm so glad I gave Star Grip grips a try. I think I'm a Star Grip convert. The Classic Wrap and Sidewinder grips are great and the installation tool and process are the best!
This is the best thing since sliced bread!!! BUT it lasted through one set of club handles before the plastic cup and plastic tip broke off so buy extra tips your going to need them
Things that could be better a metal cup and tip, or different size tips for oversized grips or offer as a upgrade to a metal cup
Bought an air nozzle to mate with an air gun I had around. Sure enough it fits fine! I've used the nozzle to re-grip one set of clubs and it works great with Star Grip grips. I also used the nozzle to loosen a couple grips (other mfg) on those same clubs before installing new Star Grip grips. As is mentioned on the website, this did not go well as both ballooned in one area and I immediately stopped the airflow. (I was wearing safety glasses.)
I really like the Start Grip grips and the installation method. I've now installed both Sidewinder and Classic Wrap grips, on a clean shaft and right over old tape. All I've noticed is that when installing over old tape, the air under the grip (and in the shaft?) takes longer to bleed off. So, when installing over old tape I found that I need to hold the grip in place for just a few seconds to let the air bleed off.
I'm really glad I got the air tool and the Star Grip grips. All are great!
Good to find an American made high quality grip! Great feel, can't wait to try them out as soon as the weather breaks!
Compressor works just fine for the job needed. Grip cup on air gun is plastic, wish it was aluminum for longer durability (will probably make my own). All in all it is well worth the investment.
I'm leaving a 5 star review even though for me, this grip didn't work out (sometimes it happens). Here's why:
- Unbelievable customer service. RJ was fantastic and took the time to try and help me. It's so refreshing when customer service is like this!
- These grips are super high quality, just happen to not work for me when my hands start to get sweaty. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else!
If you are a fan of the Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips you have to give these a try. Same great feel out of the box but they last WAY longer. I'll never go back to any other grip.

Should have purchased this years ago. Been using the simple rubber vice clamp and always worried about ruining a shaft or the clamp releasing from the vice. The speed clamp takes all the worries out of the equation. Love it!
Works great with any standard air nozzle. I installed the grip in about 20 sec. I also like there’s no mess with solvent and drying time. Grips feel good. Time will tell on their longevity.
Careful, the installation gun only works on star grips. That wasn’t readily apparent to me when I ordered. I use large oversized grips, so this is useless to me.

Love the size of these new grips. They are perfect and work well.. Little by little all of my clubs will have star grips on.
This is a great tool for regular or even midsize grips. My issue was changing everything to jumbo grips. This gun will not work for the larger grips. If you are doing Jumbo or extra large, you will need to find something else. If you're doing regular or mid-size, this is well worth it.
So last week I was in the Dominican Republic and played 3 rounds. Right before I left Home I installed my new grips. Unfortunately with the humidity I could never really get my hands dry. I used towels to dry my hands ad wipe down the grips. Often times it felt like the club would slip right our of my hands. Maybe in these situations a glove would have helped but I never use a glove. I don't feel like they were tacky enough. I will give them another shot this weekend where the temps are expected to only be in the upper 60's and see how they perform.
Sorry to hear the grips didn't perform well for you in humid/wet weather. Generally, for conditions like that we recommend using a grip that has a rougher texture like our Sidewinder. But one good thing about our grips is they are entirely impervous to water, so a quick wipe of a towel and they will be completely dry. We actually have a PGA player who uses our grips with no gloves on the tour, and he has played with them in the rain before and just qickly wipes the grip with a towel before each shot.
I've always been a Golf Pride guy but saw these on Instagram and thought I'd give them a try. I purchased enough for all my clubs and received the free air gun attachment. My friend who works at a country club installed them for me and was super excited to try it out. I can't say enough about the quality of these grips. I have played at least 10 rounds, and they have blown me away. They are comfortable, tacky and just great all around. I have recommended them to all my friends and will definitely be buying them again whenever that time comes!
I was in the hunt for new grips that were easy installation. These blow on grips worked flawlessly and they feel great.

Recently installed the tour 360+ grips on all my clubs. It's so easy with the tool provided! First, they feel amazing, tacky, but not sticky. I went with the wrap style in Jumbo size, and honestly was worried about them being too big. I was wrong! They are perfect! I've been able to "calm" my hand/wrist action, which reduced my hooking issue! Talk about a confidence booster too! When I grab my driver, and it's in my hands, I feel like I can truly swing it so easily now!
The grips are great. I put them on myself with an air compressor. I ruined one. I didn't have the air tool si I would recommend the tool or make one. Two people might also help. The grips are tacky and comfortable. Definitely an improvement and gives confidence.
Purchased the Sidewinder and they are perfect ! Comfortable, tacky, soft feel from a firm grip and installation was ridiculously easy ! Cut off old grips and installed the Star grips in probably 15 minutes. I will be buying Star grips from now on.
I was very skeptical at first as I’ve been a Golf pride user for many years. I really have enjoyed switching over to Star grips on all of my clubs.. they feel wonderful just the amount of it of cushion. I need and solid grip. I’ve actually showed them to many friends Singing their praises. I know this sounds like an ad, but I’m not gonna use any other grips from now on. It was also nice that their customer service was a person and not a machine thumbs up. Oh PS don’t use double-sided tape use masking tape and they’ll slide right on with the air compressor.
It was almost comical how easy these grips are to install. Tacky and comfortable enough to play with through 18. Was out playing with some buddies, shanked a shot and thanks to star grip it gave me a perfect feel while slamming my club on the ground. Thank you Star Grip!
I am a huge fan of Star Grips and have Classic Wrap on my clubs for years. I just regripped my daughter's clubs and put the same on hers (Classic Wrap undersize Red). They look incredible and she loves the feel of them. This is the first time I used air to install them. Very simple and wish I had been doing it for a while.
I am just getting back into playing again and my putter grip was shot. After a quick Google search I found Star Grip and am very pleased with my purchase! The grip has a nice feel to it and went on as expected. I'll definitely be back.
