What makes Star Grip golf grips different from other brands?
Star Grip golf grips are made in the USA from our proprietary StarTack® rubber compound, which provides superior tackiness, durability, and feel compared to standard rubber grips. Every Star Grip is designed for tapeless installation using a standard air compressor — no tape, no solvent, and no drying time required. Star Grip offers a 3-year warranty on all grips.
How do you install Star Grip golf grips without tape?
Star Grip uses an air installation system. Simply connect our Air Installation Gun to any standard air compressor (60–90 PSI), slide the nozzle into the grip, and use compressed air to slide the grip onto the shaft in seconds. The inner surface of Star grips is made with StarTack® rubber that bonds directly to the shaft — no grip tape or solvent needed.
What golf grip sizes does Star Grip offer?
Star Grip offers three standard sizes: Undersize (–1/32"), Standard (.600" core), and Midsize (+1/16"). Build-up tape can also be used to further increase grip size — each layer of tape adds approximately .013" (1/5 of a size increase). Five layers of tape equals one full size increase.
Which Star Grip golf grip is best for me?
Star Grip offers four full swing grip models: the Classic Wrap 360° (soft, highly tacky, seamless — best all-around choice), the Sidewinder 360° (textured "S" pattern for firmer directional control), the Tour Star+ 360° (reduced-taper design for a more comfortable lower-hand feel), and the STX (ultra-tacky, aggressively textured corded grip for maximum performance in all conditions).
Can I use Star Grip installation tools with other grip brands?
Star Grip's Air Installation Gun and nozzle are designed specifically for Star grips. The tapeless system works because Star grips use a specially formulated StarTack® inner surface. Other brands of grips installed without tape may slip or move over time. Star Grip tools are not intended for grips that were originally installed with tape and solvent.

How long do Star Grip golf grips last?
Star Grip golf grips are covered by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. The StarTack® rubber compound is engineered for long-lasting tackiness and durability, outperforming standard rubber grips in both feel retention and grip life.
What air compressor do I need to install Star Grips?
Any standard air compressor producing 60–90 PSI will work. Even a small 1–2 gallon compressor is sufficient. The Star Grip Standard Air Installation Gun includes a quick-connect fitting compatible with standard air hoses.
